Student’s Instructions Day 2 Tuesday:
- Read the instructions for each number for each assignment for today to make sure you are fully prepared to complete the assignment properly.
- Using the internet research Ancient Roman Times, find out what life in Ancient Rome was like, the areas of the city that most people lived in, how they worked, what they did for entertainment. Wikipedia is not an acceptable source. Using our prior assignments for research from the start of the year please find reputable sources for this assignment.
- Once you have done research you are to create a brochure that you would give new residents of the Roman Empire to orient them to the city of Rome and what there is to see, do, and where they will most likely live. Think of it as a welcome letter for new members of the empire. You can use Microsoft Word to create this brochure.
- The requirements for the brochure are:
- A Map of the area that the Roman Empire Covers
- A Map of the area that the City of Rome Covers
- Some attractions that the new resident would want to see (i.e. the Colosseum, the Forum etc…)
- Some example of homes that Romans would live in
- Some activities that the Roman’s enjoyed for entertainment
- There should be uniform fonts, grammar and spelling should be correct
- There should be on top of the maps at least 3 images on the brochure.
- On a Separate piece of paper you should in proper MLA format include your sources for information and images and attach that piece of paper to your brochure when you turn your assignment in.
- You have 30 minutes to work on this assignment. If you finish you can free read until the instructor starts the next task. If you don’t finish this assignment in the 30 minutes that is ok. You can work on this assignment at home for homework.
- Remember to save your work on your flash drive.
- This assignment is due on Friday at the start of class to be turned in to the instructor in person.
